Hcg Diet and Hcg Diet Recipes
For those who are unfamiliar with the hCG diet, here is a bit of a explanation of it. hCG stands for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, it is a natural hormone that is produced by the cells making up the placenta then later by the placenta in a pregnant female body. A high level in ones system dictates a positive pregnancy.
What this hormone does, is allows for the baby to receive the proper nutrition if the mother either not eating enough or is not eating a very healthy diet. The pregnant mother's body is putting the baby first. So often in 3rd world nations the mother is not getting enough proper nutrition but the baby is born healthy, this is a result of the hCG.
The hCG diet is based off of this concept. It is a very low calorie diet that restricts ones caloric intake to a mere 500 calories daily. This diet is also supplemented with daily injections of a synthetically manufactured hCG. Basically the combination results in the person's fat cells being used up which is encouraged by the hormone. The hormone adjusts the hypothalamus, thus your metabolism increases. While many have reported great success with it, with dieters reporting 1 to 2 lbs of fat daily, it is usually only done for 1 month or a maximum of 40 days. The burning of the fat also helps to supply the body with energy it otherwise would not have.
Some experience a little hunger during the first few days as their system adjusts but then otherwise do not experience hunger as their system is flooded with calories from the fat being used. Some report being quit full just trying to eat the 500 calories per day, even very large men who may normally eat close to 10 times that amount. What has also been reported as a benefit of this diet is that incredibly, the amount of muscle that is lost is at a minimum, other diets typically end up using more muscle tissue than the hCG diet. You definitely do not want to lose much muscle tissue when losing weight and the hCG diet delivers in this aspect. Often there are additional supplements that go along with this diet plan in order to ensure maximum health and safety during it.
In order to eat only 500 calories a day, without some recipes, it can be rather challenging. Here are some sample recipes to help those out on the hCG diet.
